Anyway looked at or heard about the Mitsubishi Tritons? Only a 2.4litre but 4 or 5 grand cheaper than a BT50 and that is with a towbar thrown in.

They are the most under-rated ute, a few less frills but damn good buying at the price compared to Rangers

All the reviews I’ve read and seen on the Triton it is the consistent overall winner. There was a recent (Aussie) one done comparing all utes available in Oz and the Triton came out number one.
My only issue with the current Triton is it looks like s#@t..! and me don’t likes it..! Lol
Yeah, I agree they are weird looking (what were they thinking), I don't like them either but I'm driving a Kia K2900. Arguably the weirdest looking ute on the road. As my missus said 'you sit inside it'. I wouldn't trust any of those car media reviews, they all seem like paid ads to me.

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
Thank you for that. Very good to know. Also, while i think of it, anyone looking at buying a car check that it doesn't have the Tanaka airbags.

It'll be enjoyable as long as I keep the cost of it out of my mind including the insurance premiums.
Does anyone know if fitting a water separator/prefilter to a new vehicle affects the warranty? Why don't manufacturers offer it as an option? I will talk to company, just don't feel like asking them yet.
ask about a catch can too.......almost essential (l'm assuming you got a diesel?)

They have diesel filters that are designed to allow water to come out at the bottom but the diesel specialist where I have my truck in reckons they are useless. It only needs microscopic water particles to cause damage. It is very difficult to detect water in diesel.
I asked the salesperson who didn't know, I''l speak to thier service dept when I pick up the vehicle. I'll also ask the diesel specialist when I get a chance, he might know as they sell water separators which send an alarm and immobilises the engine if water is detected. Pain in the arse but I have been bitten hard by this.
Redeye, what is a catch can and why have one?
oh yeah and I did get a diesel. There just isn't an alternative that can come close to the fuel economy and torque.
