    Default Darwins grip

    Anyone got/use one ?
Could it be used on a multi tool ?
What size shaft diameter will it fit ?
    Opinions ?

    Cheers Fred.

What it does is save your back,i don't have one,i want one but it's too big to go into my storage box.I added a bigger taller loop handle so i stood more upright but the Darwins Grip would be a bit better,if your getting a sore back i'd say this device will solve that problem for you.

Good stuff Beetle, let us know how it goes.
Not so much a sore back for me, Im just working on efficiency.
I do a fair amount of horizontal mowing with my whippy & I think it would be better to walk with your arms by your sides (as you normally do) than one in front of the other with your body slightly twisted. I realise a bullhorn whippy would also achieve that but, you need to wear a harness for that to balance the weight.
Where did you order it from ?

    Cheers Fred.

Sorry Beetle, I feel bad now.
I wasn't looking for someone to buy it & test it.
Did you give it a shot or, decide it was just too bulky ?
What was your original intension ? Horizontal mowing, vertical edging, slashing, a combination of tasks, or ?

Looks like no else on here has has had or used one ?

    Cheers Fred.

Wanted to see for myself what they are like, the guy in the video says it took him a while to get use to it.I only got as far as loosely fitting it and picking it up to see what the balance was like,i can understand why people do like them and how upright i was able to stand which helps to save the back but it took up too much room in the trimmer box.

I ran two Loop handle on a trimmer for a couple of years, one setup for verticals edges and the other high up the handle for trimming. it was comfortable in both jobs.
