I'm using one now during summer with 2mm line.Only use it during the drier months as it doesn't have to work hard, this is it's 3rd summer in use and have been quite impressed on how reliable and easy starting during the hotter months.Plus the benefit of being so light which gives my back a rest for 5-6 months.

if you're looking at the 322 you might be interested in the 522 the commercial variant not sure what the difference is, see about a price match with http://www.melbournesmowercentre.com...-grass-trimmer

Took a picture this morning,as with all the line trimmers front handle gets changed.Plus stone guard and a speed feed. One thing i can tell you that a Stihl fs94 feels heavy after using the 322L..Another trimmer i use that feels light is the Echo GES22gt,about same weight and power which is the edger.Just another brand to consider and they are currently at Bunnings for $350 and the 322L was $450 3 years ago they dropped the price $100 Aust wide..

I think you may be confusing the 522 with the 525
Specs for 322 and 522 say same weight at 4.2 kg the 322 says occasional use and the 522 says professional use
    322 http://www.husqvarna.com/au/products...22l/967175201/
    522 http://www.husqvarna.com/au/products...lst/967210601/
They 525 is heavier at 4.7kg but is also 20% more power

With the rains and growth we have here now i'll give the 322L a try to see if it can do the job this winter on regular lawns, only reason being so light i can use it all day without the weight hurting my back.

Just having a look to see what competitors the Husqvarna's have in weight power and price
    Husq 322L 22.5cc 4.2kg $499
    Husq 525LST 25.4cc 4.7kg $749
    Stihl FS94 24.1cc 4.6kg $549
Stihl ends up being the best all round choice for weight, power and price

I just bought the stihl fs94 and love it in the hands it feels much lighter then the husky which is my other trimmer . I paid $500 for the stihl and im sure I didn't pay $749 for the husky , I cant remember what I paid for it. I put the better rubber handle on the stihl off one of their bigger machines , it just makes it really nice to use
