Thread: Kubota blades

    Default Kubota blades

We are currently running 3 Kubotas and the cost of replacement blades are way over the top.
Any one know of a aftermarket blade to suit these machines
    F2560
    ZG327
    ZD1211
    Thanks Jeff

Sorry I don't run Kubota, but I pay from 18 (14" blade) to 24 (atomic/gator style 20.5") per blade for genuine Toro

l cut down some old blades, drilled holes, and fit swing back blades - hell of a lot cheaper than bar blades.....you need to be exact with your cuts and holes, for balance & clearance

We are paying $205.05 including gst for a set of 3 blades for the Zd211 and not much different for the others. I wouldn't mind if we got a decent run from them but they are turned up on the side and it just starts breaking up after around 30hrs of mowing and this is on a estate so grass isn't that bad, however can be thick in spots.
As the metal is breaking I believe they are getting cheap blades stamped and making a mottaz out of it. We buy the blades from the Kubota dealer we purchased the 2 newer machines from and all they do is shrug their shoulders.

AS the blades are breaking up we can not sharpener them like we used to on our Toro's that we ran before changing over to Kubota's.

    Wow that's ridiculous
I'd be calling another Kubota dealer to check their prices.
    You could try http://www.asproducts.com.au/
I've never used them personally so can't comment on quality etc

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

there is http://www.lawnmowerpros.com/lawn-mo...rm=K5645-34340 but with the Aussie dollar at the current level + GST + postage probably not much cheaper maybe worth noting if our dollar goes up again
you could also try calling GA spares http://www.gaspares.com.au or Jaxmax http://www.jakmax.com.au
