I've got an Echo Blower and Hedgetrimmer, very happy with them and (touch wood) never had any problems.

I use a Stihl blower, and bought an Echo as a backup.

The Stihl has heaps of power, but as far as reliability goes, the Echo wins hands down.

I would definitely consider buying other Echo products in the future.

    Hi Heggie
I also recommend Echo blowers and hedge trimmers. Never tried a line trimmer (mowing 13 years).
I also want to know what is the most reliable, power, etc, trimmer

I am very happy with my Echo 2155 blower and Echo brushcutter. The blower is pretty good, though i now use it as a back-up as i got a Stihl BG85 which has heaps more power, though far more unreliable.

I find the Echo gear so reliable.

We use Shindaiwa blowers and have found them excellent quality.
Also use an Echo trimmer, SRM 2001SI, very light weight, has suprised us with its' durability. Going into its' third season of being flogged mercilessly, we will replace it with another when the income flow increases a little later in the year!
Considering it is a domestic grade product, it is very strong. Punches well above its' weight, though we use larger (Shindaiwa) brushcutters for heavier going. The Echo only gets general edge work usually, though will rise to most occasions when asked to.
Very happy to recommend both Shindaiwa and Echo, both superior products in our experience, we've used other brands but nowadays wouldn't think of buying anything else.
    Cheers.

    Hi Nigelr
When you buy quality you get long life on your machines
I have used Dolmar (German) for 10 years +.
My blower has gone for 8-10 years. ( bit tired now)Except for routine maintenance nothing has gone wrong. My trimmer needs a new clutch 5 years or so.
I do have a back up on all my gear.(Stihl)
I was considering trying the Chinese stuff but Admin put me off.
Does your Shindaiwa chew out the clutches?
I know if you run out too much line on your trimmers the clutch wears out.
At the moment I am using 130 line on my trimmer. Does an excellent job.Last line was 102 (wore out clutch -too long cut in winter)
Mow On -Would like to change to Shindaiwa)
    Cheers Worzel
