Default Some of the long "lawns" we have mowed

This is one of the longest lawns we have had to do in a residential setting. We gave up on the idea of using the Rover's catcher early on and resorted to using the whippersnipper around the edges as much as possible and setting the mower up in "slasher" mode. Raking up the swathes of grass and giving it a final tidy brought it up looking quite civilised, but I forgot to take an photo after we had finished. (I may have been too exhausted )

Mick has it right. Work out how long it will take you (that's the tricky part) Then add a very hefty profit margin and factor in dumping ( ie the cost to dump an your time doing it) and add at lest 25% onto that. When you get a final figure add a bit more to cover anything unforseen. We do quite a few jobs like this and they are good money spinners. You don't need tractors or ride ones. Best way to attack it is whippersnip as low to the ground as possible then rake it up then mow it and your done.
    Cheers

How long did it take ya?

    Id say, good!

That one Im doing has 3hrs slashing and 9hrs brush cutting so far in it. Brush cutting is hour rate $50, just cruising letting the machine do the work. Still lots to do yet!

Added a few pics, this is about a week after slashing. Didnt get any of the brush cutting yet unfortunately.
