How long did it take ya?
Id say, good!
That one Im doing has 3hrs slashing and 9hrs brush cutting so far in it. Brush cutting is hour rate $50, just cruising letting the machine do the work. Still lots to do yet!
Added a few pics, this is about a week after slashing. Didnt get any of the brush cutting yet unfortunately.

wow big job mick!
You do it all your self ay Mick should invest in a Wing man make like eazyer....
But if you aint ''STIHL'' you aint real....
It would be nice to have a helper, but its illegal remember!
I had this tosser ring up a few weeks back and said:
"I've been away on holidays for about 6 weeks I just got back and the grass has got a bit long, and my ride on won't handle it"
Point #1 : DUUHHHH!!!! W.T.F. do you expect? In tropical N.Q. in the wettest wet season in over 35 years.
Point #2: That's not my effing problem.
Point #3: If YOUR ride on won't handle it, MY ride on probably won't handle it either.
Point #4: He doesn't want to trash his mower or bust his arse in the hot sun so he wants to get someone else to trash his gear and bust his arse instead and is probably looking for the cheapest quote.
Point #5: Once I get it back under control I will never see or hear from him again.
Point #6: Why would I want to do a back yard jungle when I can mow my regular jobs with 2 inch long grass instead?
I told him I was fully booked out for the next 2 weeks, obviously it wasn't soon enough for him. Been there done that I'm getting wiser every year,
This is a job for the "Just starting out" 6x4 box trailer, Greenfield Cox or cheap $hit Bunnings Ride on and two planks of wood, Big W mower, bent shaft snipper, fly by night, cash in hand only with no public liability insurance clowns (did I miss anything?). They can have these jobs.
I learnt the hard way, so can they. I'm well and truly over these ****ty one off jobs.

Oh hang on!! I knew I forgot something:
Whipper snip in shorts and thongs, have to sweep or hose down driveways because I can't afford a leaf blower yet, 5 ltr Bunnings or Big W poison sprayer.
I'm sure you guys can think of more ...... Right?
Imagine how much he could earn if he had a 60 inch ZTR?
Horses for courses. I don't own a ride on and I do just fine. But then again mowing is not my mainstay operation like it is for some others. I say do what suits you and as long as your earning a good quid from it then your happy. $130K a year is pretty good dosh. Maybe he doesn't want anything else but his Cox. That contractor is not you is it Geoff?

a hand turfer , bit slow but it works a treat cause if the cable is long enough you can hook up anywhere and pull , make sure to put a weight on the cable just in case it breaks , the weight will make it drop to the ground before it hits anything else , a jumper or a jacket will do
cheers
Les
grass keeps growin and we keep mowing
