I did this one this morning. Pensioner owner with medical issues is trying to sell, and can't afford to maintain the place properly. In early Dec had to go to the city for treatment and just got back last week. Have to try to bang it back into shape again now.
It's about an acre of mowing all up.

It's ok Greenie. It's only got a small chute so have to go pretty slow to let the cut grass out without clogging. That's cut at 2.75" and leaves a few stingers on the first cut, so I run over it again on the way down.
Is the 32" greenfield a single disc or 2 discs? 25hp should be plenty of power for it. I've never used a single disc ride-on mower but they seem to be able to clear long grass easier than multi-disc mowers. Could be wrong there though.
My Gravely 44" has 3 blades and only 20hp (19 on the new ratings) and it has enough power as long as you keep the grass flowing through the deck... even on the slopes.

the greenfield would eat jobs like the 2 shown above, my cox 32 loves them and leaves them looking like a half decent lawn

x2. Also I believe the greenfield offer a diff lock, a big advantage for steep areas.

I was told two blades are more of a finishing mower whereas a single blade will slash and throw it out quicker, dunno if there is any truth in that, I have only ever owned single blade.

Meant to say single disc, not single blade. I didn't read your post properly. Single disc with two blades would smash long grass.

I've been told the same and that the greenfield is especially suited to smashing through thick overgrown stuff.

My old 32" Greenfield had the disk with 4 swing back blades on it, used to smash through 4-5 ft thick grass with thick under grown with ease
this is one I done, most of the grass out the back was about 4-6ft long and thick
