Anyone who enjoys being whacked in the shins by stones etc needs their head looked at. The idea is to smarten up not harden up!
The pads I bought thru Indi are brilliant, indispensable on some jobs, money well spent.

Due to their centrifugul clutch, 2 stroke clutches will last longer if used flatout due to less slippage.
Thats not to say I always use mine that way.
    Cheers Dean.

I use my snipper at just over half revs but if the going gets tough I give it full revs. I always wear a face shield and have had no where near the amount of injuries that you guys are talking about. As for wearing out clutches prematurely, I got 2 long hard years out of my Shindaiwa before I replaced the clutches and the only reason I replaced them was because I had the machine apart for another reason. The clutches could have gone for quite a while longer but I decided to replace them before the wet season started.

Just some food for thought for you.
