Updates to windows can sometimes cause difficulties with installed programs that rely on older components, this is the same with MYOB and many other reputable software.

You may well find a reinstall sorts everthing. I used Easystart 2004, then upgraded to QB plus every two years and have a few difficulties (regular software updates seem to sort them all out).

Nonetheless, when Mymow professional comes out, it might be time to consider using the account built into it.

View customer list, then tick "Show All" box at bottom of page. You should then see ALL your customers. Find the inactive customer. Right click on them, select "Make Active"

Have been flat out trying to keep up with work AND get my accounts back up to speed. Reconcile back statements. Record customer payments. Forward BAS/GST.

Sometimes two heads would be better than one.
Now here's an idea - where's that roundup?

I think you are turning into a QB guru. How the hell do i change the default signature on the outgoing email?

    Not in quickbooks you can't!

Forums are great place to exchange information.

    Hey Bluey ,

I don't think Easystart allows you to do this, The only way I have found to change the email is when sending a batch but as you know some customers then don't receive the email

Ahh! QB signatures - Edit, Preferences, Send Forms, Company Preferences.
Note the Change Default for - select Invoices (or other form) and edit text below!

You may not have the same level of control with Easystart as there is with other versions - it's a budget, entrance level program, but an excellent starting place. I just love it's simplicity - money in & money out!

Yeah there are no options under edit for us, I usually forward the invoice to my address make the changes then send to the customer its a bit of a pain but apart from that i think its great as you the simplicity of it

Try upgrading to next level - then get all the options.
For example - I don't think can you email a statement with Easystart - can with other versions.
Can you edit you invoice format (add pictures, etc...)?? - you can with other versions
Can you reconcile bank statements with easystart - can with others versions.

Unless you have employees (so you'd need to update your QB every two years to keep tax table current), then you might find you are better off with the next level QB version. Buy once and have the features you want forever!

If you are holding back upgrading - waiting to see when Mymow professional will be out and using the accounting feature on it, you might want to first find out -
Will the professional version handle both cash accounting and accrual accounting, or just one? (do you really want to change your accounting system mid year?)
Does Mymow facilitate reconciling of bank statements?
