    Default Tip Fees Green Waste

Good evening fellow lawnies. I have a 7x5 trailer and i get charged between $20-$30 for a complete, full, ridiculous load depending who is at the gate. On most trips i pay around $25. I'm in Victoria in the east. Would you ladies and gents think this is a reasonable fee? :

    Cheers and thanks

Yeap thats me! Been getting charged $35 for 100kg at the moment

Have heard the tip at eastern creek is heaps cheaper. Just a longer drive

Most of the time I palm the cuttings off to my neighbor who takes them to his work.

The creek is cheaper because most of the green waste collected at the other tips goes there to be recycled.

We pay to dump it, they recycle it & bag it, and then we buy it back.

Talk about a double whammy !!!

The tip on Mulgoa Rd makes us dump grass clippings in the general household waste section. I think thats why its so expensive

Next load I will try Eastern Creek.

I use Seven Hills and North Ryde tips, minimum fee for green waste has now increased to $20.

The tips here on the Gold Coast aren't too bad, I have an 8 x 5 trailer and when its full of just green waste I get charged the minimum fee of $9.00. If I have heavier stuff, like bits of crete or pavers etc it sometimes costs me a little more, but most times when I go to the tip I expect to pay $9.00

True. It's pretty good on the GC. My top four tips on the GC are....drum roll plz.....
1.Suntown tip Arundel ( they even suggest you both get out the car before it gets weighed if it's big load to help you out. Over the years, I figured Suntown is where they put their best employees )
    2.Reedy Creek
    3.Molendiner
4.Tugun....tossers most of the time, especially when the dyke's on!

Yeah they are good at suntown, I am rarely down at reedy creek, cant stander the wxxkers at molendiner, never get to tugun.
As I live on the northern end of the coast(coomera area) I use the stapylton tip most of the time.

Quoted a job today which involves removal off a few trailer loads of leaves & grass so will be taking them to Eastern Creek to see how their prices fair.

Says on their website min charge is $18.00 for garden waste.
    $90 per tonne < 500kg
    $60 per tonne > 500kg

So if I take 300kg of garden waste in one trip how much will they charge me?

    Dan,

Considering where you live, try North Ryde or Seven Hills, run by the same mob and charge the same.

    $60 per tonne > 500kg.
= $60 for a seven thousand tonne shipload.

Brainless idiots run the show and we pay.

    Take in 30kg.
Say " I would love to pay by the tonne, but I don't have a tonne!"
