strange that a man that sells leads to independents for only 7.00 a lead and no more to pay yet charges his own franchisees 25 thousand and then 8.oo a lead and up to 800.00 a month in fees

    laughable

what is even more disturbing how does 1500 franchisees give him millions of dollars a year

    not funny at all

i think the insulting aspect that he has no respect for the poor opposition..from the news report tonight he is one interesting man.... and from some small dealings with jims workers i feel sorry for those rich little workers or is it their work payouts that are able to give to jim...

    He promotes and we gain.
Well dressed people earn money and discuss Peter Cundall
They can afford a better garden.
    Demand and supply.
Once you were slack as if you didn't grow a lawn, tomato
    and lemon tree.
Too much good coffee to be bothered trying.
Franchises promote the benefits of a garden with out the hassles.
They are good for our business.
Remind me to send "J" a cheque one day.
Perhaps I will think of him in my will!

theres only one problem i see with jim and thats jim himself.calling us poor(underdogs)will push more clients our way.public will aways go with the underdogs.i am a newbie and making really good money, don't feel poor thats for sure.even more fired up now to make heaps through quality work at reasonable prices .the tv program was a pr stunt, jims sells more franchises when unemployment figures goe up.mortgage interest rates are going up.people look after their main asset, the house, but do not have the time,so we the gardeners keep on doing well, good times and bad.jim must make heaps out of each franchise sold.as people lose or get sick of corporate world, heaps of jims are ex corporate, thats why they go with jim,it makes them feel corporate while doing real hard yakka work, image and pereception, and they pay for the rest of their time with jim through the nose, jim will want them in his green army.pay heaps of greens to join jims green army.

The only poor one's in my eyes are all those "poor suckers" who get cornered into buying a franchise. Most see the light of day and turn indy!

Every week I see brand new Hims and Vips trailers doing the block, they must keep running into each other and ask the other guy, what are you doing in MY territory??? In Sydney they have even started advertising on the radio - "buy a vips franchise and choose when you want to work!"

I should have gone into the trailer building business, the guys who build trailers for these franchises must be earning some big $$$

jim looked so plain ,not corporate,in the blue commie looking outfit with that old looking mower,no branding.would have expected him to be wearing the co colours pushing a shiny new honda.

the areas i work i see jims ever now and then with old trailers.

As far as we know in the franchise agreement the franchisee must keep their trailers up to a standard at their cost also uniforms etc and also can be ordered to keep to the Jims standard

Remember they work for Jims Mowing as a subcontractor or these days a franchisee

There are a few ex Jims Contractors on this forum so maybe they would be the best ones to let us know the facts .

interesting and informative comments, from what i have heard these stories are factual.i have a close friend with a jims franchise and he is stressed to the max.you pay to becomes jims boy, he puts the screws on,and a couple of compliants you're out on the grass.there is no back up,they go into each others areas to do jobs.must be a nightmare.i see them at the tip, always over fussed,no time to see hello.

only problem with jim is jim himself.

jims- join independent mowers society.save $1000's,keep the house, wife and earn a good income-keep it all.watch out for the other jim hes to own you.
