    Post Mossy lawns

Does mowing mossy lawns, short in summer help get rid of the moss or is that just an old wives tale ?

    - Dethatching, aeration, top dressing & over-sowing
    - Changing grass type to kikuyu or other type of matting grass may smother moss depending on moisture build up.
    - Building up damp areas and or installing Ag pipe to drain excess moisture.
    - Chicken Manure will incrase Nitrogen content and increase lawn strength which will over take the moss infection.
    - Check and adjust soil pH levels as moss tends to be a sign of a high soil pH

These methods are more Organic and would be an ideal way to increase your Autum / Winter Workload.

    Interesting Tid-Bit
I was reading an article the other day that claimed using bleach to clean up a Urine spill (We have a disabled child and tend to have a few of these a day) can set of a chemical reaction that can cause breathing difficulties and other lung problems. Something to do with the amonia content in urine.
