Default Five Holmesglen students able and ready for work experience

    Hi,Everyone,

My name is Jessie, and I, along with four other students from Holmesglen TAFE, I would like to offer our services to a lucky Victorian Member. We are required in our course to complete 900 hours work practice.

We have studied mowing (hand mowing and ride-on) in our course thus far. We are able to prune and mulch. It would be our pleasure to improve your customer satisfaction with our high quality work.

Perhaps we can also help with your computerised business record keeping.

If you would like to contact us to discuss our extremely inexpensive work rates.

Please feel free to contact me on the enclosed Email address.

Thank you for your attention. We look forward to working with you.

How does ones Public Liability cover work in this situation. Are the students covered as employee's, does the tafe cover them as part of the course etc?

    900 hours... thats a lot!

    anyways.

From my personal experience with TAFE and work experience, TAFE covered for insurence. But these student require (minimial it seems) payement, where as my course didnt. So it may be different now. Email and ask I guess.

To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it.

Paying work experience students is optional - not obligatory.

The invitation to discuss THEIR rates suggests they want to be sub-contracted to you.

Your insurance MAY cover them - check your policy. It is good practice to insist ALL your contractors have their own insurance.

900 hours is equivalent to 22.5 times 40 hour weeks
