How do you find re-fueling that chainsaw Heggie? I was given one by a mate & I found that to be the only problem with it (apart from if I press the primer bubble it won't start for a week lol!)

lol ha ha kakegc i know what you mean about refueling, first time i used it i got more fuel on the bed of my ute than in the tank lol . so i use this , it should really be auto petrol pipe, but i had hose pipe lol. i have had this saw for 3 years and use it for pine logs for retaining wall etc, not bad for $160, starts easy too.

Thats a good way to do it Heggie, I'll have to give it a go! Like I said, I got given mine by a mate (the guy that does my larger trees & tree stumps for me. He got given it from a deceased estate) I reckon it does everything my other saws do, I've had no issues with it (at least I haven't since I stopped pressing that primer bulb lol! )

How does the tornado pushie compare to the honda?

I have the vitor tornado, same motor that you have, but mine must be the older model or something as I don't have the handles that bends to the middle.

    Hi Peter,

In a Commercial application there is no comparison they are miles apart.

I use to think the victa was a decent mower until i got the honda.

I just use it as a back up its great for residential use I would not recommend it for commercial use.

    Cheers

Nice equiptment there BGs, I am not sure why they put those foot long rods on whipper snippers these days (on the handles), i brought a 2nd hand stihl the other day and it kept bumping into my leg,,so of it came with the hack saw works better now.

I asked the guy i brought it off whats it for ?? he said i dunno,,another fellow reckon maybe for edging the workshop mechanic thinks they are for sweeping motions when you are doing large areas of grass,,,,,,,,mine was very floopy, i guess the rubber goes like that eventually,,theres nothing i could have used it .

Yeah I think my victa is okay, but have always wanted a honda,

My victor sometimes, now sometimes but all the time will not 100% pick up the grass. Do you notice that withc your victor? or it it just me?

I guess the honda picks up grass very well then?

Try one apples, you won't believe how well they pick up the grass (except the S/P in wet grass lol! ) Personally I reckon the Rover is even better in that Dept.

In fact the Rover with a B&S donk is a beast when it comes to performance, it will cut stuff the Honda screams & runs away from! They are the business for feral clean-ups where the grass is out of control, or the weeds are up to your head!

What a shame they aren't as durable as Honda's! That S/P mechanism on the Rover is an absolute joke! They snap axles easily & the B&S donk has air filter issues in dry sandy conditions (I had one sandblast the inside of the motor when it was just 8 days out of warranty) & the way the clutch lever is connected to the handlebars makes the whole thing wear out in no time!

Having said that I'd still buy one again for feral clean-ups as the Honda just isn't made for that kind of work!

    Hi Apples and Kakegc
I find my victa s/p side thrower mulcher is excellent.
The victa motor being better than the honda in the long wet stuff.
I also find victa catcher mowers in the wet are useless. It does help when adding another vent to the catcher and using 4 blades.
My Rover s/p with b/s motor is also excellent in the wet.
There is'nt much dust over here (nz) and the motor will go for years if serviced.
But I do like my Hondas
I have never snapped an axle on my rovers (8years)
    but my victas probably 4
Also on my b/s I run 2 filters - 1 standard which goes up the snorkel to another. But no dust here

    I can see the problem......
You bought the bent shaft model instead of the straight shaft one
