First thing contact your insurance company and ask them the procedure as different customers have different processes ....mine they organise a glass fitter to install a new window...all done over the phone...if an excess applies might be worthwhile to pay for it yourself as car windows can get up there in price from 350 onwards.....my excess for my policies is 250..
you a good man to leave your details top stuff ...

Geoff who is your public liability with ? Indy insurance excess is $500, so for the ones I just broke I payed for them rather than claim, if my excess was $250 I would of claimed them.

    Contact Dean,

Dean is very good at assisting towards a resolution/outcome.
As mentioned above the excess on policy may mean it's better to pay for it yourself, but that info will become known to you to make a decision on it yourself.

I had a bingle with my trailer last year and thought straight away, easier to pay myself and I was insured with Indy.
But Dean gave very good assistance and it went through the Indy policy. Cost of fix - minus excess made me in front and I was on the road again within 48hrs. In my case no premium increase the next year.

Also remember it's only a window, not a person.
Credit due for being an honest person,
    Cheers Garry
