Lol! I'd love to but, the palms are only two trees out of a whole yard clean and rebuild. Worth quite a bit now and ongoing (new customer) with other properties to boot!

If I don't do it some wombat will come along and knock me out of the job.

did six today...as mentioned with an expendable hedger. The customer was arcing up about how come I charged so high. So I let her feel the prick (behave blokes!! )...
she got the point real quick.
I make no illusions to the customer as to how much I despise and hate the bloody things ( more than Cocos!!!)

    O.K. folks.

Here's some images of what I am up against.

    Other than nuclear?

I would like to do a really nice job on this.

    Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi, how do I put a picture up? I was cutting one of these things the other day, I usually use loppers to just cut them off but I didn't have them with me. I used a bow saw. On the last one a spike went straight through my glove and right through my finger. In the top and out the bottom. Couldn't get it out myself so went to the doctors and she had to use pliers to get the thing out. Went home first to show the wife and take a photo first though.

Let me know who can get a pic up and I'll show ya.

    Cheers Rick

A lot of the prickles on the palm fronds are on the centre half so if you handle them by the outside half, you'll have less chance of getting prickled. I was trhinking if you lay a tarp flat and put the pruned fronds straight on the tarp then wrapped them up before you put them on the trailer, you wouldn't have to double handle them at the tip.

Use your photo compressor to compress it down for a web site and then use the manage attachment link below when your typing a message to go with it. Or if you can't compress it, email it to me and I'll post it for you, but if it's gross I may vomit.

Also if you have a Photobucket account and you have the pick uploaded there just copy the IMG code from the options under the pic then paste that link in your post here.

Where you "Click to Upload" in Photobucket you can also choose the size of the pic. For web display it's best to use (for the long side if a landscape shot) a size of about 640 or 800 pixels.

I had one go in under my knee-cap years ago. It came out that night while I was sleeping - thank Christ!!
