    Default Washing and detailing automobiles

    Hey all
Anybody do or thinking of doing car detailing as a seperate business or addition to their current work?
Any tips techniques etc would be welcomed even suggested pricing structures etc etc.
Seen a guy around he charges $30 for a wash and detail and works out of a ford laser hatch.
    THANKS

i look at doing this a few years back.
its works out ok for what you charge and what your overheads are
but if you wont a tip then,
why spend 1 hr to detail a car for on average $45
when you can spend 3hrs on a truck and charge from $300 up
but dont forget all the restricksions on water and what water goes down the drain other wise the council will pump you with fines
to set up either one you would out lay about $12000 with all your gear and ute.
washing cars is all right but trucks are better more money and
you dont have to be as picky with the end product.
i was a panel beater before this and used to laugh when the detail had to knowledge of what to use and how to use the gear.
cause at the end of the day one slip of the buff and see you later $$$$$$$$$$
look at truck not cars more $$$$$$$$$$$ for time spent
