Hi , since this is a national site I,d be interested to know how you dispose of your green waste & what it costs. eg, we dispose of our green waste at Enviromix in Keysborough Vic & it costs us $9.90 per cubic meter.
Cheers Dean.

We get weighed in and out of the tip in Sydney. Green waste at most tips is $22 minimum for up to 200kg, then an additional fee per 50kg. I think its about $6 per 50kg. I dont go much now that we have green bins in the area I service.
In Brisbane its about $8 for 100 kg then about $16 for 500kg we get 10 free 100kg vouchers with our rates and most customers give me theirs so I rarely have to pay at allOriginally Posted by Adamandeves
Here we pay for it by the trailer load ie. for a 6x4 to the top it is $26 if it goes 1m higher then $46.
But for me it is nothing. I take it to the worm man and he gives me free compost. Not bad ay.

"Success occurs when no one is looking, failure occurs when everyone is watching."
My local tip has no charge for green waste. But it only opens three days a week.
If I use the main tip near where my lawns are it costs $24 a trailer load green waste or general waste. My trailer by volume hold just under 6 cubic meters.
To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
I pay $20-$25 per trailer load at Whitehorse or Knox refuse centers. Also have work i do for the city of Monash and are given vouchers to dump green for free at there Notting Hill site.
Here its weighed $45 per ton goes up about $5 every year, It costs me an average $50 per week thats approx $2500 per year Then they sell it as mulch @ $30 per ton theiving mongrels.....
Here on the Gold Coast $9 for full tralier of greens.
Our tip doesn't charge even by the truck load, thats how it should be!
Sounds like us Sydneysiders are being rorted! Luckily the green bin gets most of the stuff now, but not all areas have them, and when doing large clean ups it averages about $50 a hit at the tip for a ute.
Cocos palms are expensive to get rid of. They are very heavy as most of you would know, but they also class them as general waste so it costs twice as much than green waste.
Down here we pay $12.00 per 6 x 4 trailer at local tip, only open Friday to Monday. Main tip in Ulladulla is $55.00 per tonne average trailer load I pay is $13.50. Tree loppings are expensive to get rid of, I usually get client to organise a chipper to mulch for their gardens. Anything over 150 mm in dia is $110.00 per tonne so we only take what we have to the tip, rest is mulched or cut up for firewood.
The green waste wheelie bins provided by most of the municpal councils around Melb have been a god send . Prior to this we used to remove heaps more green waste which we had to pay 4.
In my area landfill is filling up very quickly & boy have the prices escalated .It now costs $35 per cubic meter 4 hard rubbish, so we usually recomend 2 our customers 2 get a skip, it can be cheaper 2 hire a skip than 2 take it 2 the tip yourself .
Cheers Dean.
Raining today so cleaned out the shed of all the unwanted junk about 3/4 ute full weighed in at the tip $50
$31 a tonne here on the NSW south coast.
