For the client though $240 is a great price although he took over a week to think about it or get other quotes.Originally Posted by Bluey
Hourly rate.. was my own fault. I was thinking I'd be finished and out of there in 3 hours plus an hour for the tip but changed method to do a better job. Quoted to cut weeds and grass and take away but decided to pull weeds roots and all. And two of those ones beside the house on the side with the trees needed the crow bar so that as well as the rain added a couple of hours.
Now that is understandable. We have all quoted something and taken longer to do it. If you thought it was only going to take 3 hrs that would put you at $80 per hr.

That is some nice work Andy.
I was talking to a bloke the other day doing a lawn next door to 1 of my customers. He reckons he only does lawns for his friends, and then starts telling me how he did an overgrown place for $12 hr. No wonder it's hard getting decent prices around my area. I reckon I'd be lucky to get $240 for a job like that around here.
Dole bludging lawn grubs
Crikey that's about what I charged about 17 years ago and used their mower. Mind you I was only getting $10 and hour in my full time job then before tax.Originally Posted by Cranbourne Lawnmowing

I thought the same as you until I tried upping my quotes. I am still varying them slightly each time. You may be surprised what you type of price you can command.

Good earn mate. I take it you removed the green waste. Did the price include dumping. I would have charged more though. Around $300 or $350 mark for me. Am I too dear?Originally Posted by geoff1969

Proof is in the pudding I thought you'd collected it too, well done!
Good size yard, good price I reckon, and the kids can play again! Loved the tracks to and from the shed in the initial shot.
Well that is an excellent finish then. Well done. Could have sworn you took it away. Thumbs up from me mate.Originally Posted by geoff1969
