    Paul
That had about 4-5 inches growth on it to the finished job. 3 full chaff bags of clippings,it's a lot bigger than it looks in the pics.

I have heard the same about the newer model Rovers but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another 850I/C engined one if I see one. I'd really like a Pro Cut 50 if I find one.
When I use the 196 these days it feels like going back to a domestic mower and I really did like that little bugger.

Some of the retailers must be reading the good reports of the Rovers on here and charging a premium. The RRP for them is $1170 I believe. The Rover dealer here wants around $1250 for them too b ut said that was due to "regional freight charges".

Hey pretty good work there Grasshopper. Funny you should mention Hamburger Hill. Every week end I take my paintball warriors up Hamburger Hill. I am the the worst (or best) drill sgt they have ever met. I have great fun with my troops on Hamburger Hill. I turn theminto the Marines and VC and then see who has a set. I always manage to get shot 6 or 7 times on that bloody hill. Come play with me one day Kev.
    Cheers

great job clients must be happy
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.

    Nice work Paul.
I bet the make & model of that yellow ride-on is firmly imprinted in your 'never to buy' list.

I had a very quick look Ed but it wasn't a brand I know. Quite old - I'd say a 1980's model. Strange side chute and there was a steel catcher lying around for it somewhere too.

Got this one as a regular mow from now on so will clear the weeds off it next time and have a look. Lawns hadn't been touched since October I think when the Hubby passed away.

Good job Paul. That grass looked bloody thick. Old ride on would be worth a look for sure.
