"All sin is washed away in the Holy goodness of Beer"
Book of Redeye, Psalm 69
A bit over $600.00 so I over quoted a bit. Win some lose some.
Fred I had to keep trailer on concrete drive as we had nearly 50mm (2") before I did the job so I had to drag it all over 5 mtrs. Otherwise I was going to just roll it into the trailer. I just jumped on it after I had cut it to fit into trailer. Yes used a harness for the tree and roof ? If you have a look at the second pic there is two pubs, one on each corner and the green roofed building beside the job was also a pub back a few years. Tree was fairly close to powerlines, I climbed it from the ladder with a harness and cut small branches off near line with ropes and then just limbed it as I climbed down. No stump removal, just cut to ground level. Yeah country pubs are great, I had a couple blokes having lunch in the pub nearest me calling out help while I was up the tree limbing LOL, none would come and do it for me tho.
I was going to say $500 to $600 David. Especially with 4 trips to the trip. Yes it only cost $40 but there's the time there and back as well.
I originally said $400-600 then changed it, so well done!!

Makes me think about what we charge sometimes though. I referred a job on to a friend who is a professional tree-lopper here a while back. 4 sizeable trees (two of which were dead and leafless though), stumps to grind and a huge Bouganvillea to remove. $650 all done. When speaking to client initially I'd estimated about $1500 which was the same as a quote from another lopper they got a quote from!
Nothing spectacular in this one, just a "dead area" that has annoyed me since I've been doing the perimeter gardens on the property.
Suggested it to the manager and he said go right ahead ask and ye shall receive

I bet they are happy with that, nice work
I am going to grow some potato`s in a no dig garden and there was a thread on "no dig gardens" but I can`t find it
It`s that time of year to start prep for spring vegies
We have 3 large dogs this yr so it`s a battle of yard space....thinking containers
....Nothing like a good whipper....
I tried potatoes in old tyres last year. Might have worked if the nematodes had kept away
get some galvanized iron or some colourbond and make a square, circle any shape you like, fill her up with compost, cow manure ,sheep and horse stuff with straw.....chuck in some blood and bone,do this layer by layer starting with newspaper on the bottom.....potatoes love sh1t

Some before and after pics of our blackberry cleanup. Sterlo and I using mainly the hedgetrimmer and the new brush destructor blade and a little chainsaw work.
Approx 12 hrs work
great job john and sterlo, should upsell and remove the trees as well
Good stuff John, what worked better?
Brushcutter or hedger?
Cheers Fred.
Geoff ,we tried but he didnt want to pay the extra, maybe another day. We already did some extra stuff down the side of the house and 4-5 small trees down the side also.
Fred, The hedgetrimmer worked well cutting into it, but definately the new blade on the brushy to get it right down and mulch it up. It could handle the small saplings as well
Just remember that blackberry seeds can stay vital in the soil for up to 7 years. Any fire over them will have them germinating like crazy. Great job boys. How many thorns still in ya hands and arms
Cheers
