Started cleaning up a steep ridge for one of my better clients this morning, although he's a bit slack. Guess who?

I'll just nibble gradually at the rest as there be dragons in there.

The ones at ground level will be okay if they are not to thick the whipper snipper will fix them, otherwise it will be a lot of bending or kneeling to prune them off
Paul how could you suggest such a thing!! I am a professional LOL, yes that's what going to happen. Worst part will be the clean up as there is still lots of grass round the plants. I have sprayed with Verdict but the grass won't be dead by this Saturday.
The other big problem I had when cleaning up is that between the standards are bush roses, which don't show up in these pictures, very hard to get mower in between, also there is a watering system, so I have go back before Saturday and whipper snip around them all. If we don't get the roses all pruned on Saturday we will be back on Sunday.

    Cheers Fred.

Update on my Rose pruning job. Bloody 458 roses in that garden. We counted them twice late on Sunday arvo. There were possibly 500 roses when the garden was first planted, found a few dead ones and lots that were only rootstock so I will have to attack them with "Mike".

Bit of hedging and general pruning from today. Got about three time as much to do in the backyard of this one tomorrow - mostly Duranta, which I think is a mongrel of a plant, and the Pennisetum from teh pics the other week.

I think the Murraya hadn't been cut for at least twelve months so it's looking very woody but should come back well with regular pruning over Spring and Summer. I used to keep this hedge at fence height for the previous elderly owner but she has since passed away and the son has contacted me again to start looking after the property again. The hedge is now at 6ft tall after today.

The shrubs along teh side are a bit of a mess and will all be grown to the same height eventually.

Couldn't get down the side of the house before I started.

I haven't seen another one around here flowering like it either. Neglect must be good for some plants!
