Now that's a major reduction LOL great job Redeye, glad they did not want a light trim LOL. Did you take some of the bay leaves home to dry and use for cooking. I don't now but I used to always take a few cuttings home for the cook. Got two trees in pots out the front now so every time I trim them I keep most of the leaves and dry them.

i used to have clients that dried the leaves of trees they were growing, but i don't think they used them for cooking
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

A small job from today. From what was compacted soil and weeds to what will eventually be a nice Photinia hedge.

A nice little feral that confronted us today. Was a mixture of blackberry, ivy and wandering jew. The area was much larger than pictured, and steep.IMG_0121.jpgIMG_0119.jpg

Slayed what he could with a utility mower, and used a hedge trimmer to work through the blackberrys. He probably ripped some bulk with a 3 tine cultivator first I suspect, binned it using the gator grabbers to avoid getting cut up. I didnt leave him with a brushcutter, so he done well with what I left him.

I can see why you didn't stick around

That looks like a lot of hard work... I hope you made some good coin for that one!
