Yeah I love my rideon for those sort of jobs. Was it too long to try the mulching flap. If it was dry you will be suprised how well the Cox will mulch long grass.

Just came across this on the Landscape Queensland Fb page. I reckon there's a few of us here on Indy who could compete.

I got this job as a feral in January. Did it again pretty feral in June. Pretty ordinary when I did it again in November. Now they've got me doing it 2-3 weekly and it's just starting to look ok. The place is vacant and owners live away.

I've got this one as a regular now. 450m along the road/drain and about 60m around the corner.
Took me 8 hrs the first time and 7 hrs today. The first 150m of kikuyu had about 10 inches of thatch so I've scalped that down and can now almost feel the ground underneath. Should get it done in under 6 hrs once the kikuyu is under control.
PITA job really, but I've been eyeing off and dropping hints about another 4-5 acres inside the fence.

You wouldn't be saying that if you had to 3-4 kilometres of edging that has to be as good as that.
The trick is to know when to snip and when to break the edger out. So in answer to your statement...I do need one.

I thought I was going to a cruisy little job this morning, slashing a dam. "It's not as bad as last time you did it"
Just under 2 hours with brushcutter and Airecut blade/ 2.7 line.

hate to think what it was like last time
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
