Here one for you blokes who say they don't make 'em like they used to, a "brand new" twenty five year old Victa Commando.

not bad when you consider i was quoted over $150 for a single replacement blade for my multitool hedger attachment
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

I cashed in jars of change that have been collecting on top of a wardrobe - $490.
Needed a new cordless drill, got a pro level Makita with 2 x 3a.h. batteries from US ebay for a little over $300 delivered, a charger from oz ebay for $124. To buy locally about $700

Has anyone bought one of the AGR pole hedgers or pruners???

The throttle handle on mine wouldn't tighten to the shaft and kept turning around. I ended up over tightening and pulling a screw through, did this happen to anyone else and how did you fix it???

Thanks man, tape worked a treat. Got a bigger problem now, the drive shaft isn't turning. I opened the clutch up and scuffed the pads but still useless, bloomin' piece of crap hasn't really paid for itself yet. I think it's only had 4 uses and if I'm not wrong it will cost more to have it looked at and repaired than what I paid for it... p1ssed off, wish at least it had paid for itself.

Take the agr pole hedger off the "usefull" list. It's pretty much in the scrap heap now and time to save up for something decent!
