Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

That one sold a couple of days ago for about $150. Wondering if the buyer bailed out as the throttle problem wasn't mentioned in the last ad?

Incidentally, I finally picked up a 216 but I didn't get it dirt cheap. Good thing though is that it was traded to a store at the Sunshine Coast and they've replaced the rear wheels, serviced the mower, serviced the gearbox with new pinion and seal, new clutch cable, new catcher, and 6 months warranty. I just have to get up there to pick it up or organise freight back here.

Sad thing is I don't know how much use I'll get out of it now as I've just taken on some sales work with a new 4WD store in town which I'm hoping will be part-time so I can keep gardening but it could well turn into full time.

I have one quite similar to that. Cheap peace of mind if you bother to use it. Looks like it would be pretty secure. We just use ours if we're out of town for a few days or more.

they are excellent - I use one for my jetski which is approved by the insurance company as a theft deterrent.

I think Dean sells them in the INDI store

wattle, i just bought one from supacheap, $30 down from $40

you cant leave it on the trailer while you drive around, if you go into the shops, you can put it on then take it off b4 you leave.

it also stops someone taking the trailer if its disconnected from your vehicle. (the lock bar has two positions)

    neat and easy to use.

and you'll never know if its worth it - as long as it's ON - then no one can walk off with your trailer.

i also bought a locking hitch pin and i always padlock my ball release thingo on so no one can easily disconnect my trailer while i'm in the back of someones place.

I saw one last week that looked a bit heavier than that one.
It was wide enough so that the padlock was tucked in a bit and you couldn't get at it with boltcutters.

    This looks interesting.(the trailer)

Can't see too much from the photos, but looks like it could be improved by beefing up the whole thing, and balance doesn't look right.

Might be worth a look for anyone down that way, if just for curiosity.
