no i assume you probably stripped anything useful before throwing out
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

216D for (currently) $400. Although it says commercial use for 9 mths the front tyres are bald and the back ones are new......seems maybe a "little" more than 9 mths.

Also a pack pack of 16 Honda blades with a 10 year life..... (based on domestic use.....20 mows per year) for $69

original tyres on my 197's only tend to last 10-12 months before i need to replace them so can see that the rear ones may have been replaced at 8-9 months to maintain grip on the drive wheels

    and 4 more for $1 extra http://www.indmowing.com.au/catalog/...roducts_id=416
or use low lift as well http://www.indmowing.com.au/catalog/...roducts_id=207

i remember working out that my mowers see about 2 years domestic use in a week so while we may think they don't last that long domestic clients think they do which helps explain why mowers aren't built to last for us, a domestic one lasts 10 years people say they got 10 years out of the last one so will buy another one we would say got 5-10 weeks out of the piece of crap won't buy another but the domestic sale far out strip commercial

    They sold for $41!

You should have been enjoying a slab of beer for them rather than some other 'entrepreneur'

Need a bit more power from your ride on. Give this a go.

Just came across this while looking for something else. Wonder how well it works, I could get lawns done twice as fast with a turbo on the back.

A Grillo machine for steeper territory, but they are 2wd only so don't have the sticking power of a 4wd when it is damp and steep.
