I got one a few months ago. It killed my back with the weight...
Less stress on your arms but allot more on your shoulders and back.
Plus it stopped working after 3 days...Chinese chinese chinese crap.......

$202 not bad for something with a possible seized engine personally i think i would prefer to pay the extra rather than take the risk at that price http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/370715828...84.m1438.l2649

I'm almost certain that all tanaka/hitachi are japanese - I've bought lots of stuff off sydney tools, never had a problem

Just reading some tech stuff from Sydney tools regarding high pressure sprayers, i never knew that on some models using Honda engine's that they're NOT certified for use in Australia. I'de rather spend the extra for piece of mind. Smithfield showroom is about 30 kay's from me so i'll pop in for a look this week.
RedEye. They are Japanese!
I have a Tanaka Multi tool 270( I think thats the model )and it has done LOTS of work, no probs at all, but i have noticing my shaft is wearing and it may be soon to replace the shaft, just wondering Im pretty sure Tanaka offor a lifetime warranty on shafts.? am i right or wrong?
I've only got a tanaka blower greenie (and highly recommend them). Are you using heavy cord? I've replaced 3 shafts over the years on 2 kawa whippies and now a makita which I put down to the 3.3mm I use (and abuse)
