Seems good, Aldi are good for refunds, i am amused that it states "full crank engine"....wots a half crank engine like?..13cc or something...sheesh.

full crank engine...(ie.) a bearing at each end of the crank, is a better method for longevity of the engine...better balance and is more stable half cranked are usually cheap throw aways so this aldi is a bargain ...if its actually fully cranked .....good enough for a standby you would think

^^ Trying to sus out who might be making these and found that they're on sale in England Aldis too. But over there they get a three year warranty and the trimmers are R-rated

EDIT: From what I've read they're likely an Einhell product made in China. (That last bit we already knew didn't we...)

Yeah, its because of reading posts from you and andy that i want one. Lightweight, low vibe, etc. I get alerts on ebay for them, they hardly ever come up but when they do, they're never down my neck o the woods and i hate that its usually pick up only.
I think there might be a 230 powerhead from the same guy for $300 or so.

edit: just had a look and theyre both sold. Doh!

I would be very wary of buying a second hand hedge trimmer

Mate I bought a stihl cant remember the model , the big one 750mm blade looked to be in excellent condition, well it looked good but was rooted I had to put a new carby on it its been in getting fixed more times than I can count, I was going to put it on ebay but Im to honest I couldn't do it to someone so it sits in the shed as a reminder. Also the most important thing is how sharp it is yes you can do it yourself, but a blunt trimmer is a good sign that its done some work
