2014_01050010.jpgGot this from Gumtree, deceased estate, wanted $90, I got it for $50, goes nice and no engine knocks, needs an old fitter n turner like me to replace some spring pins, rivets on hinged items, linkages seem ok and the air filter is like a piece of wet rotten sponge cake, springy thing around the choke etc, saves me using my parklander and all the attachments too much, I just love clean cut edges, make a ferral look good even if it has weeds. FOR $50 its a goer!!!....here's a pic of the old girl. Made in USA B&S, so I believe it's2014_01050011.jpg2014_01050011.jpg2014_01050009.jpg the real deal, might have to add some additive to fuel as I reckon it anit good on unleaded.

nice little pick up for $50.

speaking of Parklander, I just picked up this guy on ebay. Have a couple of grease nipples to replace and will do a full service on it but she starts first time. Haven't had a look under the deck yet, no doubt I'll have to replace/refresh the blades, and now I wish I had a bought a bigger trailer. I'm now pondering ramps to get this onto the back of the ute.

Similar size to my Deutscher slasher. I recently picked up some good ramps at half price from a Supercheap Auto sale @$120 and they work well. Rated at about 480kgs per ramp which is more than enough. Repco often have similar.

shame i missed the sales. I noticed some 2.3m ramps on ebay, gives an angle of about 18-20degrees onto the ute. The manual for the Parklander says no more than 15 degrees mowing. I'm guessing 18-20 should be alright. The previous guy used a ute but did say it was scary. hmm

Yeah the ones I bought are curved which improves the angle immensely for loading.

yeah that's it mate. Down my way there are a lot of Fire Prevention Notices issued to vacant land owners as well as a few semi rural guys that just let their paddocks go. I'm hoping with this and the ZTR I can pick up a few of these jobs. Plus I figure it might be handy for the feral houses that I'm sure I'll encounter

You'd want to be very careful reversing with that box frame tacked on the front - straight line only :-)

I would remove the box if i bought it.
That ramp seems to be a bit too high of an angle for a ride on tho

    Unbraked so only 750kg payload
a ride on, push mower, brushy, chainy, and every other little item without green waste would come close to the 750
    ....Nothing like a good whipper....

Especially with it hooked up behind a ute. With sedans the towball clears the vehicle by a few inches whereas a ute's towball can be well in under the end of the tray, bringing that box so much closer and limiting turning.
