Took it out of the ute yesterday for some fruit tree pruning. Did one cut and put it back in the ute where it will most likely stay unless I can get a refund. The design is such that you need to open the handles wide open for even the smallest cut, this means you are snookered when surrounded by other branches. The other major pain is you need to open and close the handles four or five times for each cut, so while the effort is easier the time is magnified by 5 which is just not viable for a pro. It's designed for the home user that may lop a branch once a year. Back to the old lopper for me.

True, but there can be $'s in the tools used by Moses ....
Saw a couple of old Howard rotary hoes down in Mortons Machinery couple of weeks ago.
They had been 'restored' which looked more like a rust cleanup followed by spraypaint ...
    Asking price .. $1000 and $1500 each!
An incentive to do something with the old one parked in shed waiting for 'rainy week' + spare time

There is a Deutscher slasher listed forsale on Facebook Monbulk and District Buy, Sway Sell closed user group
Asking price is $550 and location is Emerald Vic.
Looks to be in pretty good order from the picture and at that price is possibly a good buy.

You need to be a member of (join) the group to see the ad ... pm me if you need help to get contact details of seller as I am member of the FB group.

Just saw it on FB, I dont know / have any connection to the seller or have any knowledge of the condition of the machine.

It has HONDA stamped into the deck means it's the real deal plus I'm sure they did not make this model in chondas
FYI it's an early 2000 model
But they were a strong unit ..
