Yep, I love it, so much easier than a diary and what I like is the printed out daily sheets, you can write down the time taken on jobs so you can actually see if your quoting is make money for you. I also have a note about checking all windows and doors for damage before and after services. The equipment times and service history is really good too. Best thing is how easy it is to move jobs around, you can move them forward or back, you can move a whole day or just one job. I was talking to Bluey a week or two ago and he is raped in it to.

This might be a silly question but can you use Gopher for other jobs such as gardening and handyman services?

Sure can. You just create the new service and away you go. I use it for a whole heap of non lawn mowing or gardening tasks. That's one of the primary reasons I purchased it. That and the ability to reschedule anything. This is probably the best feature of the whole program

I got the top line version because it also has the equipment usage and inventory but if you only need the scheduler go basic.

No readily unfortunately but the data base file would be backed up with your normal file back up so all you would have to do in the event of losing it is reinstall and replace the database file with the backed up one. The database file is the GDB file in the program files of Gopher.

Is there any way to set approx arrival times in gopher??

And when you look at schedule I cant see an easy way to see if I have times available on a specific day.. i need to open each job and see how long i have allocated to do the job then add them all up.

Am i missing something here or is this how it is??

    Cheers

    Angry Re: Lawn Mowing Software

Just downloaded gopher plus for $149. So far I am pretty bloody disappointed. The schedule automatically orders jobs by the customer number regardless of how I enter them. And I can see no way to change the order of jobs. And not even an option to put the time of day for jobs. Also it won't incorporate tax into the price....only adds it, which means I have to actually calculate the tax and adjust the price before I enter it. I wanted something to make my job easier. But this software actually takes longer than my untidy, hand written diary. Now I might be missing something. So if anyone knows ways around these problems please let me know. Does the pro version allow the jobs to be ordered by time of day...and moved up and down the list before printing?
