I picked up a pair of these today. They work well. What volume do you find you are listening to the radio at? Is listening to these at the highest volume likely to damage your hearing or would the manufacturer limit the radio volume to a fairly safe level given they are safety muffs. I'm surprised by how loud you need them to hear over the machines.

Lol...classic. You wear ear muffs to protect your hearing and you wreck it with loud music. Have you blokes ever just considered wearing the muffs or ear plugs and forgetting about music for a bit. It wont kill you not to listen to it while you work

Do some of my best thinking while sitting on the rideon. If I had music it would disrupt my thinking. LOL

Second that. I much prefer DAB+. Great on the makita boom box. Just have to use the phone with tune in whilst on the noisy tools. Pity phone battery only lasts half a day.

I have a pair of those Howard Leights already, but not DAB. From what I could see they don't do a pair that works on the DAB+ frequency (not your normal AM/FM band). I found a pair advertised in the uk but they don't ship here. http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/FM-DAB+...rs/Pr409984001 I thought there would be many choices in the US but can't find any which I find surprising.

    Sorry Steveo, my mistake.
I thought that the digital in their ad meant DAB, it actually only means digital display. .
I now remember listening & when the cricket came on (broadcast in non DAB) I lost my reg station.

From your link, it looks like the Howard Leighton DAB is available in FM only anyway ?

    Cheers Fred.
