Just thought I'd ask what your favorite plant is in the garden.
I have a couple of favorites. Grevilleas and my new interest Protea and Leucadendron.

I love warratahs with their beautiful intricate flowers.

They are part of the proteaceae family Mrs HMS as are most of my favorite plants. I was just looking at a photo of a warratah flower that I wanted to load into the post but couldn't get it to copy. Absolutely beautiful.Originally Posted by Mrs HMS
I can't tell you my favorite but I can sure tell you the ones that have torn me or spiked me.

Fruit trees. They give you something in return. Always say if you are going to grow a tree make sure it is a fruit tree.

I like Camellia's but also love Cape Chestnut trees. I love the smell of Osmanthus, but they're not the best looking plant Ive ever seen.
I completely redid my own front yard with proteas. I love the variety of them and they fact they are drought tolerantOriginally Posted by Cranbourne Lawnmowing

Roses, my grandfather used to have over 100 of them in his garden, and had a go at breeding them too, along with entering them in the rose shows. Luckily I don't have many customers with them for me to get sick of them.
1 of my would be the Dracaena draco or the dragon tree or dragons blood tree

she is about4 mts high i say
it has flowered 7 times in that time

My favourite trees would be Japanese Maples, Magnolias.
I'm also a big fan of the frangipani, they produce those great coloured flowers and you don't have to do anything with them.
