Which boot. May as well say which beer. Everyone has thier favourite. Just dont buy a mongrel (not the brand) boot. The choice is worse than whippys and mowers

If we were all the same as each other it would be a lot easier but then again life would be just that little bit boring... There seems to be a pattern of a few brands that are ok you just need to try em on and see which shoe fits...and if the shoe fits...

Some people have toxic feet which really impacts on the insoles, leather and glue. Timmy is not allowed to bring his boots in the house. I know if they're inside when I get home and open the front door .
Tried odour eaters. The odour ate them (not kidding, they dissolved!)

since not mentioned ill give my vote to redbacks http://www.redback.net.au/index.html
i find really comfortable. i dont clean / wax / polish and they still look good as new.. the only reason i have to replace them is because the sole wears out before anything else.. so besides that everything else is perfect
100% aus made and they also make boots for military / firemen etc...
the slip on boot is good but the lace ups have better support if you can be bothered tying them up
Gonna give these a go...Water repelent...

But if you aint ''STIHL'' you aint real....
how long do the soles last on them impala?
On these one really good all the tread is there good and walking up steep hills dont even slip at all and just stating to where out on one boot but will get new souls....
Them water proof one are $210AUS so cheaper.. .
But if you aint ''STIHL'' you aint real....
I've got a pair like these in waterproof.

Steel Blue, Argyle style, the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, even after a 14 hour day, I never have sore feet. cost me $179, but well worth the money very durable also.

steel blue lace ups for me (i find slip ons uncomfortable after a while, not enuf support)
my second pair just gave out in the heel cup area, theyre going for 2 yrs old
i use the "good pair" in the mornings then the 2nd pair in the arvos, then they have time to dry out between wears,
i reckon its being wet all the time that wears em out quick, especially that heel cup area.
gotta go buy a new pair and retire the old 2d pair etc. (good to have backups when its so wet your boots didnt dry out yet)
the MOST comfortable boots ive even worn, and i used to have scarpa hiking boots at $300 a pop.
Go ask the Pharmacist for some ointment called Hydrozone. For 25 years I've had to tie my boots down when I take them off or they'd float off....it was boots off, socks in the laundry, me in the shower. Now I can take the boots and socks off, put the things on, crack a beer and go shower later....the wife loves it.Some people have toxic feet which really impacts on the insoles, leather and glue. Timmy is not allowed to bring his boots in the house. I know if they're inside when I get home and open the front door .

As far as boots go....I've been wearing Steel Blue laceups for 10 years. By far and away the lightest, most comfortable boot I've ever worn. A few years back I had a government job in the NT that supplied boots. They must have got a good price on a shipment of Taipan laceups.....they were just crap.....felt like wearing a besser block on each foot. I weighed them and they were just under 2kg....about 900g each. My size 13 Steel Blues weigh 700 grams for the pair.
I get about 3-4 years of hard use with no maintenance out of them. I have a brand new pair of slip on Steel Blues, been worn twice.......I got to have the laces.
which model steel blue lace ups do you guys recommend?
have either of you compared them to red back lace ups before?
i used to buy redbacks and blundstone slip ons years ago. tried king gee which were really comfy from the start. but the soles colapsed and split. I would never spend more than $90 on boots though.
i bit the bullet and bought some steel blue's for $130 and noticed the difference straight away. Well worth it.
