Cheers Paul. Might stick with an 11 and see how it goes. Can always resell them.

paul, the guy ian posted links to does size swap overs free ( i presume you pay for the postage back to him and back to you again) - postage may be a bit prohibitive, but at least you get the boots you want.

silly idea, maybe you can take the "odour eater?" type thing out of your current boot, draw around this then scan it and email it to him to check your sizing is right.

or ask him to send same to you so you can cut round the thing and slip it in one of your existing boots to check the sizing yourself?

    good luck with it mate

I usually wear an 11 or thereabouts with most shoes and boots but the Oliver size chart says I'm a 9.5 to 10?
I tried on all the brands and the Oliver seemed the same fit as the others.

The last pair of Oliver boots I bought took 3 months to wear in and stop giving me blisters and in 6 months they were worn out!!

I grabbed a pair of those cheap Olivers from COTD for $48 plus postage. As long as they fit okay they'll just be a spare pair to my other boots (Mongrel zipsiders) so no big loss if they don't fit.

I just picked up a new pair of Steel Blue on Ebay - lace up only @ $85 and first day of wearing no problems at all. Like all my other boots I will put some orthotic insoles and time will tell!

Looking as some new work boots and would like lace ups this time, just wanted to know if grass clippings and other bits and pieces get past the lace up area and get into the boot where elastic sided pull on never has done that.

Ok so i go into a local store called web safety and try on a heap of different brands and sizes, price was not a issue only comfort was my main concern due to the walking we do.

Already owning red back brand nothing else came close to comfort or width giving me comfortable feet and toes, not even steel blue were nowhere near the room having narrow flat toe area.
Interestingly fiberglass composite cap toe boots/shoes were not always lighter than steel caps depending on brand your looking at.

I'll stick with the red back brand.

    Serious stuff.
if you get to 3 times ten plus ten and still having a crack,
We do just don't lift our feet as high you used to do.
Old farts that use boots take a tip.
Grind the front toe sole edge to an angle that is slick.
Slide over obsticles, do not trip and fall
You do not need thick toe lumps that catch hard edges.
