Shindaiwa, Kawasaki, 2 stroke. 4 stroke: Makita (Robin. Shindaiwa C4 4 stroke with pre-mix fuel. I always use 25:1 mix I have been told that is the way to go in hot conditions. I am in North Queensland and it gets pretty hot up here. 25:1 mix is what In use and have never had any dramas, just make sure your cooling fins are clean. Haven't had any plug fouling problems at all.

Do yourself a favour and get a filter funnel and filter all the fuel you put in your machine. They are worth their weight in gold.

    what defines hot conditions?

im running echo and shindys and the shindy starts vapour lock first but it only happens on 40 degree days and proberly the 7th or 8th lawn during the day so i take it as a sign to have a break

My old Shindy loves the hot weather,,

My Stilhs can't hack it,,,some folks reckon you can change the settings,,never looked into it,,

I keep a damp towel over the motor between uses to keep things cool,,

From my experience, Stihl, Husky and Tanaka dont like the heat. Kawasaki and Echo keep powering on.

Only heat problems I've experienced in summer are personal. Feed me too much beer and I run like crap in the morning.

And the first one barely touches the sides so it's too easy to be on the second before you find your favorite stubby cooler from the night before. I miss summer!
