I've got a 19"masport and grass builds up ontop of the blade disc and puts it out of balance..(it's not flat like the Hondas). Other than that its lighter than the Honda but not as good a build quality.

Has anyone purchased a CHONDA self propelled model from ebay?

For around $750 it also comes with the Honda 3 speed gear and shaft... What would be the pro's and cons of purchasing one?

The next s/p Honda I buy will be a Chanda off eBay.. You can buy every part that needs to be replaced if it wears out and i dont see the difference between the genuine Honda and the chonda.

I got a Toro commercial model from the local GYC mower shop just before xmas, the SP died on me totally this week after a week of playing up, and the dealer won't even look at it for at least 2 weeks - have spent over $20,000 with them in 3+ years - so it isn't like the genuine dealer is in a hurry to rectify issues on machines they sell anyway. (This dealer sells honda)

I have had a 21 inch S/P Chonda for 16 months, so far it has gone like any other Honda which I have used over the years, how ever I do the heavier/longer jobs using a Kawasaki Motor.

I have both 19inch and 21 inch Real Hondas. Bloody expensive to purchase tho. My next one will be a Chonda.

I`d be pissed totaly if i`d spent 20g and no repairs on a 1 month old mower for 2 weeks, there would be steam coming from my ears and would let em know so
    ....Nothing like a good whipper....
