    Default Mowing backwards

    Why does my honda hru196 mulch better(no mulching plug) whilst being dragged backwards?
    No I havent been drinking.

    I dont know my 216 cuts worse backwards and spent the early part of the week telling the young fella not to pull it backwards.

    Because the clippings are getting thrown backwards by the blades and deck design, when you then pull the mower backwards the clippings are being cut multiple times instead of once.

    Yes, I also asume they r getting smashed by the blade up turns, instead of the up turns lifting them into the shoot if going in a forward direction.

    Now also need to design a handle that pivots so I can push the mower in either direction.
    Maybe not as silly as it sounds

    Had a pram like that, very handy but steering was much sharper in reverse.

    Ive had a similar thing when pulling the mower backwards, it collects the grass better ...?


    Aslo, Is there an easier way to put the mulch plug into the Honda 196d?
    Its so bloody hard. I Have to slap it in every time
