My Honda 19" axle fell off today, after an examination, the cast broke of that holds the clip that holds the front axle on In a mad panack to get it welded I got pulled over buy the cops, asking me why I'm in a hurry, told him he believed me n gave me a warning for speeding, got it welded buy a welder cost me $70 bucks then looked at the time 4:45p I had a quote at 5 I couldn't miss, got there and someone was mowing it already,
That topped it off I officially had the Sh!ts the woman said oh no come in and give me a quote I want someone for a regular service I then told her to get the bloke that is mowing your lawn, and you are not worthy of MY service Good bye, she then said do u have a business card I said YES the bloke that's mowing your lawn has it GOOD BYE
I hope I have a better day tomorrow...
i somehow bent the front axle on my new rover, still on the second set of blades, hardly used, imo
the front right wheel is twisted right by about 5mm, and its sitting about 10-15mm off the ground.
running into fences while cutting for the edge does it im sure, but ive done the same to the honda HUNDREDS of times, no prob.
goes to show, the rover may not be built as strong as the honda.
bugger

Yuh that's what he said, but at the end of the day, I couldn't wait for another deck, by the time he orders one and fits it up, I could get it welded in 5 mins so it was more of a situation where for me it sounded like a better quicker option to weld it
Actually Happy it probably means that the Rover has a lot more grunt than the Honda. I have been mowing lawns for years and have never bent an axle yet. You must have gone full bore into the fence for that to happen.
My Rover 560 has been used nearly every day for the last 4 years and there are no cracks in the chassis, yes I worn out bushes, bearings, belts and other parts but never cracked or bent it. Must be the way you guys use your mowers LOL
like David says how do you break axles etc, in all my years Ive never broke anything like that bar me bloody toe lol....you have to treat mowers with respect...gentle gentle as i say to my grandkids when patting the puppy
Same approach to everyones favourite job

Grumpy grump grump or starting to stress actually. Still no invoices received. Still no money in the bank for three or four days. Car will be out of fuel by 10am tomorrow. Home loan not paid this week and a dozen other bills waiting. Despite calls and emails what the heck can you do to make people pay with some urgency!!!!
