Fred! great to be back, just crappy circumstances (old man who was running the business had a fatal heart attack at 60)
I'm still full time in the Army, looking at my options for getting out and becoming a free man
Got married in the meantime, how are you mate?
Truck is going well, just looking at trailer options atm.
Just a warning to others
On another site that there has been a discussion about the Bunnings Trade Card and apparently if you use it when buying something that is non commercial they can and do deny warranty because using the card implies that it's been bought for trade use ie: Ozito power tools are warranted for DIY use only so if you scan your card you will lose your warranty, note you may also get no or very little discount on this product
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
Turned up to do a lawn at a rental and the tenants have left and taken their dog with them The tenants weren't great they were ok but the dog was great I'm going to miss him

Yep, I was told this buy the Manager of our local Bunnings. With Ozito, Ryobi, etc. they will only offer a 3 month warranty with some power tools using the trade card.
I near lost a replacement warranty on my last Ryobi Brushcutter because of it. But they allowed the replacement warranty on it due to not many of the staff at the time of purchase knowing that the warranty not applying with the trade card.
All staff in our local area have all now been trained in the correct procedures in regards to what is and what isn't covered whilst using the trade card.
If you paid for it with a gold/platinum credit card, you might have extended warranty (1 yr extra usually) insurance as a 'complimentary benefit of your card'.
Worth reading the fine print of what your bank offers. .... Got me 'out of jail' when a 2wk old brushcutter seized and it was blamed on me using wrong fuel.....
Wearing a peaked cap which restricts your vision above eye level and consequently walking into a tree branch while mowing around it, banging my head. What's worse? Doing it again because I forgot the last occasion.

Can't do that. It's the first major branch (about 5 inches thick) of a Peppermint tree.
Mowing and Edging $20 per hour
^^^That ^^^as well as: Rubbish and Greenwaste removal $25 per trailer load. I cant even drive into the local tip for under $25, so where are these "Contractors" dumping their waste?? I know I have seen a lot of dumped stuff in local bush lands lately with the new QLD dumping rules
Time to revive the things that make me grumpy thread.
Ran over a tennis ball today with the honda, it flicked out and smashed a window. Ball was green, grass was 10 inches high, window was low, owner has a dog. Perfect ****ing combination. After I finished notice a cut off bolt and a metal screw in the grass. That'll be the last time I go to that joint. I was nervous about it anyway, should have trusted my instinct.
