So we both are lying on the floor in shock, I just timidly logged into my super.
I work for a dental surgeon at his practice and home. Worked at his home yesterday for 3hrs and charged ^*#^"+ and don't drive the 2 BMW's, but I'm not a skilled dentist neither.
Edit, but Surgeon owner doesn't always put all the charges through on his PC screen to reception too when I'm a patient. You may need to get a Dental Surgeon Owner on your books for Gardening/Mowing
Cheers Garry
Quoted a small commercial job after they were not happy with Jimmies! He is not attending quickly enough and place very untidy.
Got quote accepted - had my normal payment terms and conditions.
On bottom of email they say their standard payment terms to contractors: 45 days from end of month.
Wonder why Jimmy didn't attend.
Sent an email back telling them to discuss my option with management
Think John nailed it with --- "Sent an email back telling them to discuss my option with management"
Also think I should stop posting for a week or so, I'm getting way too grumpy in some posts this week and doing edit corrections to smooth them over. Thanks Wall St .
Cheers Garry
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
I ended up accepting something when I spoke to the lady on the phone.
I went home and asked wife to do the paperwork. I then saw what they were requesting-done less for school contracts, retirement village contracts etc!!! Got it all except for the 20M insurance BUT they expect me to jump through hoops for them to keep standards to a certain level. That's when I realised that my standard payment terms should be kept to a certain level also. I don't mind the paperwork requirements and requests as you must expect them doing commercial work. But I do have employees and like taking the extra work to keep them busy but don't need to be "bent over" voluntarily.
They are a very large company and have their standard terms as 45 days from end of month. ALL this for what totals probably 2 reasonable residential clients value
You know how sometimes you get a particular feeling about a client, what they said, what has happened etc Well bells are ringing here, could be wrong!
Now, do I ring the lady and tell her politely I don't want it for the reasons above - and to forward it to the boss? Or do I send it by email?
Easy.........ignore.
I always say go by your gut feeling because in most cases it's right
I would go by email just stating you'll pass on taking the job, from there end they should just see it he doesn't want it and they'll move onto the next one.i don't think there is any reason why you would need to explain yourself.
