we had that in bris LAST summer, 2 week mows from september to february - i could charge 15 to $20 an hour more (basing quotes at the time at 90 an hour for mowing, 110 for hedges) couldnt keep up to the customers,
then we get a dry winter, (up to 10 weeks on some mows; 4 to 6 weeks on most) and a VERY LATE summer this year (didnt start 2 week mows till january
just think of the money red !!
the hotter, wetter and stickier it is, the more money we get.
cooler and drier = broker, lol

then asked for the contractors number so you could get him to work for you too
thats what ive done in the past, said "wow thats so cheap, can i have his number too, i got a few jobs i want to give him"
might put the thought in their mind about what they are getting
i always leave with "if he lets you down, or wont do it again for that, give me a call, and we can work something out"
nearly 2 acres for $75, WOW
(i know an old lady told me she gets 2 acres done - push mower and caught ffs - for $60, a home assist voucher -$10 - and a round of sandwiches.) i asked for their number but she wouldnt give it to me, lol
lol is that 7000 or 700?! even so still ridiculous

But if you aint ''STIHL'' you aint real....
People who organise stuff with you and then don't do what they say they will. Had a young woman all in a panic last Friday need a small lawn done due for inspection today. I first up said no but she begged me so I went and quoted it Friday for her and it was a little bit out of my way but she said it was small and not too bad. So I get there and it is overgrown to buggery with fair bit of greenwaste. No trailer as I had dropped that off to do a quote run. So I quote it and she sucks back a bit at the price. She needs to talk with her flat mate so I say ring me tomorrow if you want it done and I will do it Monday. Nothing over the weekend so I promptly forget about it. Well she rings mid morning Monday still wanting it done. I agree to do but only because I am in the area. Arrange with her for payment to be left out or with the flat mate if she is home. Get there no one home and no payment. Ring her and get answering machine. Leave message no response but drop around on way home. Same deal. This message I say don't bother. Hope she passed her inspection.
Cheers
