I recon a Portable Capstan Winch would be the go. Can set it up anywhere, any length of rope.

When i get a 4x4 trick it out with all that good stuff winch spot lights it will be good....and who cares aye well i do....
But if you aint ''STIHL'' you aint real....
Theyre called, "come along" I think in the USA. I bought a cheap one several years ago, never used it and it rusted apart. Literally! It was a cheap Chinese thing and left out in the rain though! haaa
But your right, for the very occasional user I think would be ok. Unfortunately it doesn't have an engine and let off fumes, and takes effort to use!
Nup, capstan winch is the go!
I would not be into serious 4WDing without a Tirfor or something similar. I spent a good chunk of my life working in the most remote places in FNQ. Been bogged so many times I have forgot. A tirfor has literally been my saviour. The beauty of it you can winch a vehicle side ways and it is mechanical. Seen so many winches particularly electric give up the ghost. A tirfor would come with me along with an extra 100m of cable.

an unexpected kid free evening and Timmy falls asleep on the couch. The peace and quiet would be nice if not for the bloody snoring. I am 4 rooms away with the stereo on and it sounds like he is right next to me. If I turn the music up any louder the grumpy german neighbour will get annoyed and start yelling at me over the fence again.

Trying unsuccessfully to get the attention of a foxy Indi member working in Brighton East today kept hinding behind her hat so i couldn't say hello. Looked up in the trees to try and find her trout fishing husband but couldn't see him he must have been resting in the Disco .
Scoob, she was a little embarassed. Yesterday she had a small lump removed from her top lip & her lip swelled up.
The lump is being tested & were hoping its only a sist not a cancer.
She soldiered on today but obviously was'nt too happy, I can understand how she was feeling.
Nothing personal, Im sure u understand.
She was wondering since u did such a good jod cleaning up the gutter, why did'nt u mow the nature strip?
Cheers Fred.
Hope she is going to be ok Fred. pass on my best wishes. And why dont we see her here?
Cheers
