I feel your pain Paul. First time I haven't been away for easter in years. Thought I can get some stuff done in my backyard but end up booking jobs in. I've been in this place for 8 years and still looks much like it did when we had the place built. I'm going to get a gardener or landscaper out if it isn't done by next xmas.

Was hoping to get away this weekend Glenno but my partner Amanda has taken ill in G.a.y.ndah, North Burnett Qld, where her parents live and hasn't been able to travel home yet.

I'm going to spend tomorrow visiting my Mother and Brother's gravesites for Good Friday, go to Church and maybe get some servicing and maintenance done on my work equipment.

One day, like you, I'll contemplate catching up on my own gardens... Even thinking of hiring a local Jim to do my lawns.. Wonder if I could claim that on tax....?

Grumpy = a couple of months ago a great customers son moved into her house and decided to do the edges saving me having to, except my beautifully trained for 10yrs 90o angle edges were hacked flat. all good i can live wth that ,then the nxt mow i go and the edges have now been sprayed getting grumpy..today i turn up and he has mowed half, yes only half the front lawn to the dirt, so now after i`d mowed it was half hacked and half mowed now i`am grumpy
Before he turned up the lawns and hedges were a picture
and he`s never home for me to blast him as he does it on week ends and his mum thinks he`s helping me..
    ....Nothing like a good whipper....

might be time to tell the mum if he keeps helping you will have to stop coming as you don't want other people thinking you do crap work

Ever had one of those days where just about everything goes pear shaped?

Started off early with a flat tyre on the trailer.

Got that sorted and arrived at the first job late where I ran out of trimmer line. Two new rolls left at home instead of being in the ute. Scraped by and found a few odd remnants in the darkest corner of the ute.

Unloaded the ride on and put the bagger unit on. (Fussy client). Half way through the job the belt for the bagger drive snapped. You guessed it, no spare belt in the ute. Luckily the mower shop wasn't too far away and I managed to pick up another one, but more time lost.

Eventually off to my next job. Reversed the trailer into a tree and smashed a set of tail lights.

Bought a new set on the way home and got them fitted but not before somehow ripping off half a finger nail.

Just when I think I'm done, managed to trip over the cat and twist and ankle.

Limp into the shower. No hot water. The hot water unit has died. They say cold showers are good for you. Bull***t.

There really are some days that Murphys law throws the book at you.

Makes my ordinary day seem pretty good. I did get a needle-jab in the butt-cheek from a pretty nurse though. Good aspects and bad aspects....

Bob, maybe you should go to the 10am service this Sunday. Probably need to stay behind and have a private visit in that little box for a "tell all"
Then make sure you pack your bloody ute properly. Make sure that flask is ALWAYS at arms reach

    Things are looking up.

My plumber mate came and looked at the HWS. It was just the pilot light thingy. We have hot water again.

The missus did a great casserole, the ankle swelling has gone down and now a couple of sherberts later, the world isn't such a bad place.

i hope the ankle gets better quickly for you i would suggest taking a couple of voltaren tablets to help with the swelling and pain
actually i recommend viclofenic same stuff as voltaren 25mg but cheaper also always have after food the chemist should run through the checklist when you buy them
