Had about $2500 worth of things stolen from my truck on Saturday night. I must not have locked it as we had my sons birthday and I was frantically finishing off putting a wall up inside our house before people turned up. They got my expensive cordless drills, masonry bits for it, wire cutters and other small tools, prescription sunnies, my wifes handbag, Navman and a few other bits and pieces. Scum. Seems there was a bit of a break in spree around here. My neighbours car got rummaged through but nothing in it worth taking, my neighbours church a few streets away got broken into, and our friends childs pre-school also got done.

Next month I have to go and clean out the roof gutters at 2 army bases. I get paid decent money for doing it so I really shouldn't complain but I wonder if the Taliban have someone to come around and clean their gutters ? I suppose caves don't have gutters. What surprises me is the amount of able bodied people on these sites at any given time doing nothing (as far as I can see) and they pay me to clean the gutters out.

I would like to see what your attitudes would be when your about to have some bloody pimple faced towel head terrorist about shove a gun up your ass and some young bloke says ,,,sorry I've got pimples,,, mother ****ing cockheads. Go **** yourselves and die ****s.[/QUOTE]

outsourcing is what helps keep us in business and isn't new or restricted to government i remember many years ago my boss complained that the mirrors and display windows weren't needed cleaning more often and that i should use the window cleaner one of the other managers used i looked into it and it was going to cost $70 so i decided that i could get one of the 16-18 year old casuals in for 5 hours at a cost of $30-$40 to do this job and also help in the store if we got busy i got told off for employing another person that day so i called in the window cleaner and my boss was happy even though at the end of the day he was paying twice as much for the job and supplying lower service levels to our customers
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

    That's ^#@$*^%@!

I guess your lucky in a way that they didn't take the truck also to load up everyone else's stolen goods.

Karma always has a way of sorting these $@^&%^$ out... hopefully the sooner the better.

    AMEN to that ian....

I agree 100% minus the word "HELP" without outsourcing we wouldn't have a business "full stop".

I'm just honestly surprised that everyone thinks outsourcing is a "new fad" when it has been around since the stone age and probably earlier

Outsourcing definately doesn't make me grumpy but infact happy

I used the ride on today, first time after the rain/flu; I installed a quick change oil drain the other week while doing an oil change......never thought to check it out so today the blade engage lever snapped it off. Didn't notice until about 15 minutes later when I noticed oil spraying out; lucky I didn't cook the donk

Messy! Was the quick drain not designed properly for the machine?

I'm a but pissed today as I missed out on a big makeover/ongoing maintenance job thanks to Vodafail. Had no phone service from Friday until yesterday morning. Had paid my bill but apparently they had an "administrative error"!!!???

Got a message from last Friday from a woman referred by another client. Rang three times yesterday and this morning but she had already hired someone else. Bloody useless phone companies. Really could have used the work too.

just ran outside to checkon what sounded like a dog screaming. it was . my bob was hanging upside with his paw stuck in the fence and a german sheperd loooking like it was going his ears.
in retrospect what probably happened was bob jumped to play with her and she was trying working out what was wrong. but she shouldnt have growl when i picked up bob to free him. so now there is a sore dog waiting forthe vets to open and a loose shepherd wondering why it just got a boot in the ribs.
and of course it had to be the leg he broke a while ago that he got strung up with

Just scum. I just wish I had woken up when they were doing it....

But I have learnt the hard way not to be complacent living in a decent suburb.

I'm lucky they didnt get my underground locator which was next to the drills. It is in a black case and is pretty bulky and I guess it might be harder for them to sell. It's worth 3k, and also a brand new commercial irrigation controller and modules for it in it's box worth 1k was also left.
I'm not holding any hope of getting my things back.

My mate's wife works in the prison (so we often joke about his wife has been in prison for 7 years) and she was telling us that if a fluoro bulb needs replacing they have to call Q-build who raise a purchase order then contact a licensed electrician. The electrician then drives down there, goes through all the security checks, does the safety induction, has his blue card and all other paper work sighted and signed off, then he goes and has a look at the fluoro. He may or may not have the replacement bulb on him, if he doesn't have one on him he goes back to Atherton, which is nearly 30 ks away, buys the bulb, drives back to the prison, goes through all the security checks again, fills out Risk assessment and work method statements so that he can get on a ladder then changes the bulb. This whole process takes between 2 to 3 weeks so they have to put up with a flickering or a bulb that doesn't work in the mean time. All that to change an effing fluoro light !!

I can only imagine how much this all costs ......and guess who pays for it.
