Dont assume that as it is out of warranty you cannot claim warranty repair. Under the new consumer lawsproducts have to still be fit for service, to me 98 hours is not fit for the job, so you could argue a case on that basis.

Bloody sparkies. First he was going to be here yesterday then told today at 4pm which means I had to put some work off until monday to make sure I was here. No phone call no sparky. Rang my mate who organized this bloke said where is he? Couple of calls later my mate rings back and says he'll be here at 8am tommorrow. Told him if he's late I'm gonna tell him to phuck off and I'll get someone else.

Apparently the best time for me to mow past the bees at this time of year is early in the morning.......6.30am Monday I'll be there.

Eventually they gave up and I made it back to the truck with 20-30 stings. Luckily I'm not allergic to bee stings. I can see me mowing with full beekeepers outfit next time......lol.
Being allergic myself, If I got stung that many times, I'd be dead. They hate mowers.

Mowing a derelict lawn in Paky, over knee high, so do usual thing of run over with ride on, on high setting, than whipper snip, than drop down to low with ride on for final finish. Guy and his wife come walking down street while whipper snipping (so grass still a couple of inches high, but looking ok), and he starts giving me a hard time about not cutting it low enough. I ask hom if its his property, no its not. Is he paying for it, No. But I should be cutting it lower because it will grow back. Had a pig of a day so I basically tell him none of his business. at this point the wife realises he is out of line and drags him off to their house about 6 doors down. Was in a hurry when finished otherwise would have written him out and invoice to mow it the second time.

got the ride on back, $200 later, mechanic reckons because of inherent design flaw in the head, it could happen again

Well done, you said the right thing. Reminds me of one time I did this tight @$$e $ yard/jungle but he didn't want the w snipping done because it would be too dear. So I mowed and left the edges. The neighbour said to me as I was packing up "aren't you gonna do the edges ?" No because this tight so and so doesn't want to pay for it. "But it looks **** house" said I know that but he doesn't want to pay for it and I don't want to do it for free. Do you want to pay for it ? He said no and then went back inside.

    Wankers.

Reminds me of a feral I was mowing once. I was being especially careful not to throw clippings up against any fences but I turned and the deck caught a clump of clippings and sent them towards the only bit of wire netting fence.
Next lap around, this old dude neighbour is standing at his fence, arms crossed. I pulled up and went over to see him. He's going off "thank you very much for throwing all that sh!t over my lawn blah blah"
I vaulted the fence and the old dude backpeddled and just went white. I just scratched a few clippings off his lawn(there was hardly any went through the fence) and jumped back to my side. We had a yarn and he was pretty friendly afterwards.
I no sooner got going again and there is the back neighbour standing at his fence. I'm thinking "What Now???" But he was Ok. Just wanting to have a joke about what the old dude was whinging about this time.
I still chuckle when I think about the look on that poor old dude's face
