mowing this place today, after a few passes, felt a spray of cold water - wtf? I'd hit the water pipe which was at ground level (see pics)
turned off at the meter and left.....not sure what to do about it...what would you do?
I'll send an invoice tomorrow, with photos, am inclined to say I'm not prepared to cop repair costs
    IMG245.jpgIMG246.jpg
edit - should point out, the pipe looks like it was laid over the top of a very shallow root

It will be a good argument. You really would not expect it there and the owner should have known about it.

Redeye..... Why are you mowing an area that looks like a dried up pond? Btw I wouldn't pay for it.

I'm not a religious man but today I hope there is such a place as hell for the scum that took Daniel Morcombe from his family and the rest of us. Unfortunately we will have to rely on our justice system to dish out their punishment which the snivel libertarians will take advantage of and secure them a nice safe place away from the general population of prison life so they don't have to endure what Daniel did.

    RIP Daniel

    Not easy,
I had to take the families pet, being a young Brittany Spaniel a few years ago to be put down. As we could not trust him after 4 incidents and one serious with my teenage girls.
We took many photos with each family member with him prior to the apppointment. The appointment was 11.00am and at 10.30am I was all over place in my mind and locked my self out of the house with the car keys inside. Had to smash a window to get the keys to ensure the appointment was kept. Yep, I broke down in the vet reception when the vet exchanged leads as I took one step to leave an said good bye to our dog.

It will be very very sad for you Geoff, as our good neighbours next door have just done the same thing with their elderly dog that was human like in nature.
We have a Golden Retriver now who is a family member and was included on the graphics of printed xmas cards. We would do anything for him and medically.
    Cheers Garry

Yeah thats a sad thing. Its like loosing a family member when a pet has to be put down. I was very reluctant to get another dog after andrew and it was about six years before i got cougar.

talking about sad i just realised that if i got a cougar i would now be accused of cradle snatching
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

All those fishing & 4x4 trips together, how can I sit by the camp fire if she's not there???????
    Cheers Fred.

    Know the feeling.
Rebel is now 10 years old and even though the breeders Akitas have been 15+ yrs of age this fella has had some visits to the vet that have not been able to find his problem.
It has been just a trial wait and see and he has come through it until now. I will soon be on a Australia wide lookout for a young ***** that will get on with him when/if he slows down.
Something that is all Akita and not just bred for the show ring. They are definately part of the family.
