Though I think it's even easier to deal with. Simply don't use fakebook!!! Parents take all internet devices away from kids bedrooms. Block access to social media sites on all computers in the house. Send your kids out to play footy or cricket or just run around in the back yard. If they're not exposed to it they can't be effected by it.
I disagree Jason, with Facebook and other social networking mediums there is no escape, the bullying is no longer just at school and now invades all facets or your life and all issues and bullying are wider spread than just a group of friends or at school. There are people whose intention it is to disrupt the lives of other whilst hiding behind a computer monitor. Simply turning off or denying these services is not the answer as that just causes alienation. So much of kids and young adults lives are organized and promoted through this way, take that away and you instantly on the outer. I don't have an answer but i think it is important for all parents to try to understand the positives and negatives of social networking.

I tend to agree with Fairdunkum. My daughter was bullied on Facebook, she shut down her account.....her life went on perfectly fine without it....in fact according to her....it's better.

Was chatting with some in US regards their gun policy (constitutional right to bare arms).
Are they reaping the consequences of this? Live by the gun - die by the gun......

"Guns don't kill people - people kill people" - they cry out

They would turn their guns on anyone/government that tries to take them out of the community.

Thanks for that Mrs HMS.......it seems everyone knows the name of the gunman, nobody knows the names of the victims.....typical media coverage, make the gunman into an anti hero so the next nutjob who wants to make a splash on the way out has a benchmark.

Humm, I consider I have a fairly good customer base, but this starts unfolding.
With the way Christmas sits calender wise, I'm finding some late cancellations into the night tonight ie 9.10pm for booked jobs on Tuesday 18th & Wednesday 19th. Telling me to that they want later in the week or not at all.
Me answer is sorry no can do, next date is Friday28th.
One can't do everybody from Thursday onwards and I'm working through to Sunday late arvo.
I may have typed the above a little different if it was in the Members area.

But I did need some time off tomorrow to take me wife to the doctors for her carpal tunnel check up, so now I have some space and a no so early start to fit it all in.
    Cheers Garry

Garry, I pre warned my regular customers that I was taking a break for the whole of Xmas week.

Where I can, I've juggled my schedule to at least ensure that most of my customers will get mowed this week. I'll finish up on Sunday arvo.

The ones that don't get mowed will get mown a week later. You just can't please all the folks all of the time, no matter how hard you try.

I've had about 6 new ones ring in the last couple of days, promising to become regulars if I could do the first mow before xmas. Sorry but not falling for that one. My real regulars are the priority.

Sent out 54 christmas cards of very high quality custom printed inside on both sides and custom printed individual naming of each client. I do it each year and do supple changes to artwork and style of card from year to year.

I organised all of my jobs For thursday, friday, saturday and monday on the weekend allowing myself a little time on saturday and monday for family duties. I had the day off today because I had nothing to do. The rest of the week I have more than I can handle which is why I have saturday if needed for some good close to home regulars. Anyone who calls now will get a sorry I am booked out for the year. Scheduled regulars only until mid January. Those who call me once a month or more will have to wait. Having a jungle never bothered them before. Look after those who look after you! It makes me grumpy how inconsiderate some people are.
